Hunter - July 13, 2008

The big moving day, at long last. Rented the largest truck U-Hual has, 26 feet of 5 miles/gallon power. it cost $100 to fill the tank 1/4 full. When I got the truck, I thought no waay we are going to fill this. Alex got 3 of his friends to help in the morning and we rented 3 guys to meet us at hunter between 2-3. The silbers wanted to help so we were glad to have them along. And the Hubertus family was on a road trip to Albany (special buttefly hatching week) and they said they will stop by on the way home. It had all the makings of a good party. We willed the truck. I could NOT believe it. Of course we could've put in another couch standing up, but we took 6 beds, all the couchs and the TV as well as all the stuff in the basement and in the garage, and we still forgot the outdoor furniture. And as luck would have it, the dinning room chairs were set to arrive in the PM, when we were at Hunter. We were packed and on our way around 12:30. It was a beautiful and sometimes hot day. I had my new camera (which takes great pictures) but I did not recharge it so I have few pictures. The guys who were supposed to meet us never showed up. We had to unload without them. Lukcily 2 of alex's friends came with us. And when Hubertus showed up it was just enough to unload and put things away barely. It takes a LONG time to assemble the furniture. Only 2 bunk beds are assembled, we have 2 more to go, the queen bed and another futton couch. And only 1 1/2 saturday to do it. We will...
