Snowbird, Utah April 7 - April 10,

Finally, after all these years. To the hallowed mountains of champaign powder. Broken rids kept me away last year, and this year a twisted knee (from the Bloomberg Party) dimished my ability, but we made it. And as a bonus since this was off-season, we upgraded rooms and we brought our favorite winter sport enthusiasts. Off-season it was not. It snowed EVERY day. maybe 3-4 feet by the time we left. The snow was as advertised, though the locals say usually its mushy this late in the season and we are lucky for these conditions. I won't complai, but visibility was minimal, and 80% of the trails were steep. really steep. And powder snow is NOT Hunter ice. And did I mention the altitude? The girls had a fabulous time. The free spa on the top floor with the salt water pool and giant giacuzzi made all the difference. Would I go again?
