The plan was to spend a day in Florence, then go to the the country side and live the Tuscan life for a few hours. Maybe some wine, sun, write a novel. The usual. But Florence itself was so alluring that we had to stay. We stayed at Hotel Cassi (Rossini lived here for a few years about 160 years ago) which was just what we needed. And the owner gave me the recipe for wild cherry cake. So good. Of course the art was overwhelming. And i did have a great Linguini Vongole. And we had a great suprise.
