Like all religious weddings, it is strutured. In this case, two parts. This first is to essentially pysch up the groom to carry through with it. It invovled a heavy amount of alcohol, various speechs and the good company of only men. The brides side sat opposite the grooms side. But mingling did occur. It was not the Hatfield and the Mccoys. At least not yet. Meanwhile the bride was holding court with only the women. During this part, the bride has the power of giving blessings. She can't control it. And she did. Ws very cool. The Seperation of sexes quickly broke down as people like me appeared. It was fine. The second part starts when the groom and his entourage appears, essentially asking the bride to get married (I made that up). But he does have a few words with her. Note that the groom has not seen the bride for 10 days. The heart grows fonder
