The Little Colorado River Canyon - March 14, 2017

We awoke bright and early for our journey to the Grand Canyon. We drove up to Cameron to see the Inidan trading post. Almost what you expect, except for the poverty of the area. A hard life people who live here. There was a very high end store with authentic art. For an area devoid of resources (and shade), it was impressive. Not my style, but impressive. On to the Canyon. But along the way was the Navajo Tribal Park. The views of the Little Colorado River were scary. A hint of what was to come. Very steep and abrupt. Desolete. Very hard to believe that the river cut this. And that people lived here.
