We awoke to a perfect Arizona day. Had some breakfest at nice collegie place in Flagstaff and then headed out. We hoped to get a good deal on a piece of petrified wood, and though he did, we thought we could get an even better deal. We didn't. And we remembered that we had to carry this home. It is a piece of stove, that can easily crack, and we have to pay by weight on the flight home. The forest has not exactly a forest, it was a forest. But whatever it was, it is impressive. There were some pertrified wood logs strewn about, but most of the really good stuff was "off the beaten path", which we did not take.
