That night we slept well in the town of Tusayan. We even rnted a movie at the hotel. That is how relaxed we were, spending money on a mediocre movie on a tiny hotel TV. In the morning we explored the western end. The geology was suprisingly different. Almost like 2 canyons. It was interesting and beautiful, but we were pretty done with the stress of seeing people so clsoe to the edge. We hoped maybe we got used to it. We didn't. As Alex said the incremental beauty we saw did not overcome the additional stress anymore.
